Originally from St. Louis,
Diane graduated from the Kansas City Art Institue and taught in
the Independence, Missouri public school district. She moved to
Kansas in 1975. A member of the Kansas Watercolor Society and the
Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, her works have been selected for
many important exhibitions, including the prestigious Watercolor
USA exhibition.
Diane's work has been published by Leanin' Tree, Inc, and has been
chosen for a variety of corporate and private collections, such
as the Hays Medical Center; Sprint Corporation, in Kansas City,
MO; Anderson Accounting and First National Bank, both in Chicago,
IL; and the First Charter Bank in Kansas City, MO.
Her work was also selected
for the Key Club for the United Way of Greater Topeka, and she was
the poster artist for the Topeka Festival Singers in 1995. She has
received many awards and, most |
recently, was interviewed on Kansas Arts Today, where she demonstrated
her most recent love and challenge, silk painting.
Diane is represented by the Van Straaten Gallery in Chicago, the
Norton Gallery in St. Louis, and the Sherry Leedy Gallery in Kansas City. Her studio,
where she teaches classes in watercolor and conducts silk painting
workships, is in Berryton, KS.
